Fulton County, Illinois

Fulton County is located in the west central part of Illinois. It is a highly rural area, west of Peoria.

It is named for Robert Fulton, inventor of the steamboat. The seat is Lewistown, while the largest city is Canton.

It borders Knox, Peoria, Tazewell, Mason, Schuyler, McDonough and Warren Counties.

Main Highways include US-24, US-136, IL-9, IL-41, IL-78 and IL-95.
